Description of the HILLCREST RETREAT Bed and Breakfast
A romantic and peaceful escape in beautiful surroundings close to a range of activities and beauty spots, with solar heated salt-water pool, luxury double spa baths, split system a/c and a choice of one Honeymoon Spa Cottage or 2 B&B Suites in a private guest wing of the main house.
Perched atop a hill and surrounded by the rolling green hills of a 165 acre farm with spectacular views from Mt Warning to the rainforests of Springbrook Ranges, Multi Tourism Award Winning Hillcrest is located in beautiful Crystal Creek, just outside historic Murwillumbah in the Tweed Valley, Tropical Northern NSW. Just 35 minutes drive from Gold Coast airport, 75 minutes from Brisbane, 45 mins from Byron Bay and 12 mins from Murwillumbah.
Catering for one couple only, Hillcrest Spa Cottage is set in its own rainforest garden for the ultimate in peace and privacy. With split system a/c and real wood fire in the lounge, separate bedroom, large ensuite with top of the range luxury double spa bath, separate shower, robes, hairdryer, candles and a selection of toiletries, Hillcrest Cottage is ideal for a mid-winter romantic interlude and a perfect year round honeymoon destination. A fully equipped kitchen and gas BBQ on the verandah completes the picture.
Both Main House B&B suites have ensuite bathrooms ~ one with luxury double spa bath ~ hairdryers, robes, candles, bubble bath and a selection of toiletries, as well as in-room tv/dvd. Both open to a large verandah with table, chairs, hammock outside each room and views over rolling green hills to Mt Warning in the distance. Tariff includes port in the evenings and a full country style breakfast complete with home-made breads & preserves and home grown free-range eggs.
Hillcrest is centrally located to 5 World Heritage Listed National Parks and a range of activities. We have extensive local knowledge and will gladly help you plan the best things to see and do during your stay in our beautiful Tweed Valley
